1. Clean the rim
Wash off brake dust, road grime and any wax or tyre shine. Leave residue behind and the adhesive will never bond properly.
2. Let it dry — around 5 hours
Fully dry, not just towel-dry. This is the step most people rush, and it’s the number one reason a strip lifts later.
3. Cold day? Warm the strip
In cold weather, warm the strip first — warm water or a hairdryer on low. It flexes more easily and grips far better.
4. Peel and press
Start at the valve and work around the rim lip, peeling the backing as you go. Press firmly — and don’t stretch it.
5. Trim to fit
Cut where the two ends meet and butt them together. Never overlap them — an overlapped edge catches air and peels.
6. Leave it 36 hours
Don’t drive while the adhesive cures. Fit it on a Friday evening and it’s ready by Sunday.

FAQ
1. How do I know whether to order the 4M or 8M size?
A 4M strip covers two wheels, so if you're only protecting the pair that takes the most curb damage (usually the fronts), 4M is enough. For all four wheels, one 8M strip covers a full set of 19" wheels. If your wheels are larger or you want extra coverage, order one 8M + one 4M to be safe.
2. Will the adhesive damage my wheels or leave residue if I remove it?
No the adhesive is designed to bond firmly to the rim without damaging the paint or clear coat underneath. If you ever need to remove it, gently warming the strip with a hairdryer softens the adhesive for a clean peel.
3. How long does the strip take to fully bond, and can I drive right after applying it?
Give it 24–36 hours before driving. The strip will hold shortly after application, but the adhesive needs that window to cure fully driving too soon (especially through rain or a car wash) can weaken the bond.
4. Will it fit my wheels, or is it made for a specific size or brand?
It's a universal fit the strip is flexible rubber that wraps around any standard wheel rim, regardless of make or model. Just measure your rim circumference beforehand to confirm you're ordering enough length.
5. Can I still use my regular wheel cleaner and car wash after installing it?
Yes, once the strip has fully cured (after the 24–36 hour window), you can clean it with a soft cloth and standard wheel cleaner. Just avoid pointing high-pressure jet washers directly at the edge of the strip, as sustained pressure can lift it over time.
